Founded in 2012, CBS TV is viewer supported and volunteer operated to serve the 4, 000,000 Caribbean Diaspora nationals in the United States Diaspora (according to the 2020 Census) and some Caribbean Diaspora groups within the global Diaspora reach. The United States Caribbean Diaspora group is one of the largest minority groups in the United States of America without a major media platform to serve the group. The CBS TV motto seeks to promote programming that are educational, informative and entertaining to its Caribbean and supportive viewers that embraces the people, culture, food, music and heritage. This media initiative focuses on bringing awareness of the importance of civic involvement in the community which often fosters and encourages Caribbean nationals to transition from resident immigrants’ status to citizenship status with responsibilities to their new home.
